Cookie Policy
daveybiz.com · Last updated: 15 October 2026 · Version 1.1
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies — pixels, tracking pixels, web beacons, local storage, session storage and SDKs — do comparable things. In this policy, "cookies" means all of them.
Cookies let a site remember your choices, measure how the site is used, and, in the case of advertising cookies, recognise your device across different websites so that advertising can be targeted and measured.
2. The rule we follow
We do not place any cookie that is not strictly necessary until you have given your consent.
When you first visit, you will see a banner with two equally prominent options — Accept and Reject — and a link to configure each category individually. Nothing except strictly necessary cookies is loaded until you choose.
Closing the banner, scrolling, or continuing to browse is not consent, and if you do nothing, non-essential cookies stay off.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing is as easy as consenting.
This reflects Article 22.2 LSSI-CE, Articles 4(11) and 7 GDPR, the AEPD Cookie Guide, and the UK PECR for our UK visitors.
3. The cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary — always active, no consent required
These make the site work. They cannot be switched off.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | DaveyBiz (first party) | Stores your cookie choices so we do not ask again, and so we can prove what you chose | First party | 12 months |
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare | Bot management — distinguishes humans from automated traffic | Third party | 30 minutes |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Security challenge result | Third party | Up to 1 year |
| _cfuvid | Cloudflare | Rate limiting, per request | Third party | Session |
| GoHighLevel form session / CSRF token | HighLevel Inc. | Keeps your form entries between step 1 and step 2 and protects the form against abuse | Third party | Session |
Legal basis: Article 22.2 LSSI-CE exemption for cookies strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user; Article 6(1)(f) GDPR where personal data is involved.
3.2 Analytics and performance — consent required
These tell us whether the page works: how many people reach it, how far they scroll, how much of the video they watch, where they leave.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| pandavideo_* , pv_* | Panda Videos Ltda. (Brazil) | Remembers your playback position and measures video retention | Third party | Up to 24 months |
| GoHighLevel analytics cookies | HighLevel Inc. (USA) | Page and funnel analytics, attribution of your application to the page you came from | Third party | Up to 12 months |
Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, Article 22.2 LSSI-CE).
We do not use Google Analytics.
3.3 Advertising and targeting — consent required
These are how our Facebook and Instagram advertising is measured and targeted.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta | Identifies your browser so Meta can attribute a conversion to an ad and build audiences | Third party | 90 days |
| fbc / fbclid | Meta | Stores the click identifier from the ad you arrived through | First/third party | 90 days |
| Meta Conversions API (server-side — no cookie, but consent-dependent) | Meta | Sends the conversion event, with hashed email and phone, from our server to Meta | n/a | n/a |
What this means in practice: with your consent, Meta learns that a device matching yours visited this page, watched part of the video, or submitted the form, and can connect that to an ad you were shown. Full detail is in Section 6 of our Privacy Policy.
Legal basis: your consent. If you reject this category, the Meta Pixel does not load at all and the Conversions API does not send your event.
3.4 Functional — consent required
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GoHighLevel scheduling cookies | HighLevel Inc. (USA) | Lets the booking widget work and remembers your timezone | Third party | Session to 12 months |
| __stripe_mid , __stripe_sid | Stripe, Inc. | Fraud prevention and payment session, where a payment page is shown | Third party | Session to 12 months |
| PayPal / Whop cookies | PayPal Holdings, Inc. / Whop, Inc. | Checkout and access management, where used | Third party | Per provider |
Legal basis: your consent.
4. Third-party cookies and the privacy policies behind them
Some cookies above are set by companies other than us. We do not control what those companies do with the data once they have it, and you should read their policies:
- Meta Platforms — facebook.com/privacy/policy and facebook.com/policies/cookies
- Cloudflare — cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
- Panda Videos Ltda. — pandavideo.com
- HighLevel (GoHighLevel) — gohighlevel.com/privacy-policy
- Zoom Communications, Inc. — zoom.com/trust/privacy
- Stripe — stripe.com/privacy
- PayPal — paypal.com
- Whop, Inc. — whop.com/privacy
5. How to manage cookies yourself
On this site: click "Cookie settings" in the footer at any time. You can accept or reject each category independently, and withdraw a previous consent.
In your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break the form and the video.
Chrome · Safari · Firefox · Edge · Brave
Global Privacy Control: this site honours the GPC signal. If your browser or extension sends GPC, we treat it as a rejection of advertising cookies and, for US visitors, as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Advertising opt-outs, independent of this site: youronlinechoices.eu (EU) · youradchoices.com (US) · optout.aboutads.info · and your Meta Ad preferences and Activity off Meta technologies settings.
Do Not Track: there is no common industry standard for honouring DNT, so we do not respond to it. We honour GPC instead, which is enforceable.
6. Consent duration and renewal
Your choice is remembered for 12 months, after which we will ask again.
We will also ask again, before that, if we add a cookie in a new category or materially change the purposes.
We keep a record of your consent — what you chose, when, and the version of this policy in force — as evidence under Article 7(1) GDPR. That record contains a consent identifier and a timestamp, and it is kept as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Cookies and your rights
Where a cookie processes personal data, all the rights in Section 10 of our Privacy Policy apply — access, erasure, objection, withdrawal of consent — and you may complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es) or to your own supervisory authority.
8. Changes
We will update this page whenever the cookies on the site change. The "Last updated" date above shows when. Material changes reset consent, and you will see the banner again.
